Central Remedial Clinic's Innovative Therapy Services

Community Foundation Ireland uses Irish philanthropy and strategic giving to partner with organisations like the Central Remedial Clinic (CRC). As Ireland’s largest community-led nonprofits working directly with people with disabilities the CRC offers support and services to individuals at all stages of life and their families.

The clinic facilitates clinical and therapeutic services—including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, gait analysis, complex feeding clinics, tone and spasticity support—as well as educational and rehabilitation services. These range from tailored school programmes for children to transition programmes and supported work placements for adults.

In addition, our partnership helps enables the development of innovative, non-traditional projects. Innovation is what drives change, and CRC embodies that through the creation of their Immersive Room initiative.

The Immersive Room is a muti-sensory experience designed for children with complex needs features tactile zones, a ball pool, waterbed, interactive lighting- all purposefully designed to engage children in movement and play without being overwhelming.

Community Foundation Ireland remains committed to supporting out-of-the-box thinking with organisations like CRC. We recognize that its innovative and creative ideas that open up new spaces for marginalized communities —such as people with disabilities—to flourish.
