In the face of current challenges facing the Irish community and voluntary sector, all organisations are looking at ways of working differently. In certain limited circumstances, some organisations may see the benefit in exploring merging permanently with another organisation, or consortium of like-minded organisations. We have a small fund which might allow such organisations or consortiums to explore this.
This year, we would like to support organisations whose annual income is less than €150,000 and who are struggling to produce timely Annual Reports that tell their story, account for their funding and ultimately, tell their stakeholders what they do. These Reports are a key element of accountability and influencing policy and can act as a valuable tool for organisations marketing their activities.
The Community Foundation for Ireland is offering one grant of €10,000 and five grants of €5,000 to organisations who are undertaking new projects that aim to protect, enhance, restore or create biodiverse habitats, or protect and provide shelter and/or food sources for native Irish species.
