Green Kite, a new social enterprise based in Dún Laoghaire, in partnership with Community Foundation Ireland, opens the GK Dún Laoghaire Sustainability Fund. The fund supports community led environmental sustainability projects within two kilometres of Dún Laoghaire Harbour.
The fund has two grant programmes.
Seed and Grow Grants of up to €7,000 are open to community groups, charities, social enterprises, schools and local organisations. These grants support new ideas, pilot projects, and existing initiatives that need support to continue or develop.
Flourish Grants of up to €35,000 are available to organisations with a strong environmental focus and at least two years of active sustainability work. These grants support the growth and strengthening of established programmes.
The fund supports a wide range of environmental priorities including nature and wildlife, climate action, water stewardship, sustainable food, circular economy work, environmental education, sustainable transport, community resilience, and arts or heritage projects with a climate focus.
