CGN Community Benefit Fund 2026

The annual CGN Windfarm Fund opens for applications on Tuesday, 4th August and closes on Friday, 4th September at 5pm. Keep in mind that your organisation must first be registered on our Grants Portal before an application can be started, so please be sure to give yourself enough time to do both, as the registration process may take a few days.

Information on registration can be found in the Application Help Guide below.

The CGN Community Benefit Fund is a beacon of support designed specifically for community, voluntary, and not-for-profit organisations in the vicinity of the windfarms. Our mission is to endorse a culture of inclusion and to dismantle the barriers that lead to isolation.

The Fund aims to unify the community, stimulate active achievement, and foster an environment where every member can participate and thrive. CGN’s initiatives not only promote community development and inclusivity but also environmental sustainability, climate action and biodiversity preservation.

Grants of up to €2,000 are available to encourage local initiatives that focus on bolstering community development and inclusivity.

Applications are sought from community groups based in the following townlands:

  • Skrine, Co. Roscommon
  • Roosky, Co. Roscommon
  • Leabeg, Co. Offaly
  • Faughery, Co. Leitrim
  • Cloghboola, Co. Kerry
