The Women’s Fund for Ireland has re-opened for Applications
13 December 2011 | In NewsThe Women's Fund for Ireland has opened for it's third round of applications. The next closing date will be Friday 27th January 2012. The Women's Fund for Ireland fuels change in our communities by supporting the most innovative and positive solutions to the issues facing women in Ireland today. It’s mission is to encourage philanthropy among women, improve the lives of women through social change grantmaking, and educate the entire community about the benefits to society when the potential of women is realised.
Initially, it has two main focus areas; Measures aimed at Preventing Violence Against Women, and Measures Empowering Women to take Leadership roles. As the fund grows, these areas will be reviewed and/or expanded. Grants of up to €5,000 are available for specific projects which are not part of an organisation's core work.
