Philanthropy Forum Re-Established

Phil Hogan TD, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government has re-established The Philanthropy Forum. The Forum is in place to help create a framework for philanthropy to prosper in Ireland. The membership has been enlarged and now includes: The Community Foundation for Ireland, Philanthropy Ireland, The Ireland Funds, ICTR, Business to Arts, Atlantic Philanthropies, The One Foundation, Dept of Finance, Dept of Environment, Community and Local Government, Fundraising Ireland and Dept of Foreign Affairs. The chairmanship has been taken on by Frank Flannery and the goal is to have proposals for government ahead of this year’s budget and to produce a report for government before Christmas.
