Grassroots Grants of almost €150,000 announced this week

In the most recent round of Grassroots Grants (Round 28) the Community Foundation for Ireland has awarded grants totalling almost €150,000 to groups all over Ireland this week.
Grants were made to almost 100 groups for a wide variety of projects supporting vulnerable communities. Areas supported were respite for family carers, supports for older people, inventions promoting integration for ethnic minorities, community based mental health projects and those working with families at risk.

This most recent grants round brings the total amount awarded in Grassroots Grants to €433,000 in 2011 and it brings The Community Foundation's total grantmaking since its inception to €10 million.
