New Website Launched to Correspond with 10th Anniversary
01 March 2010 | In NewsThe Community Foundation for Ireland is delighted to present our new look website to correspond with our 10 Year Anniversary. The Community Foundation has gone through tremendous growth and expansion over our ten years in existence and we hope the site will highlight the progress and achievements we have made over that period.
Some new elements which we are introducing to the site include a Grassroots Grants Map, which shows the amount given to each county in Ireland through our Grassroots Grants Scheme, previously known as the Small Grants Scheme. Also a photo gallery has been added and this shows some of the projects which we have supported over the years, both, with our own grants schemes and grants from various donor funds.
The Community Foundation for Ireland Calls on Government to Support Philanthropy
01 March 2010 | In NewsSpeaking as a voice for donors and future philanthropists, The Community Foundation for Ireland expressed dismay after the 2010 Finance Bill was published in February. We had hoped that reliefs for charitable giving would be decoupled from other business reliefs this year as was recommended by The Commission on Taxation report in 2009.
