Realising the Power and Potential of Women's Philanthropy

President Mary McAleese gave a special address at Realising the Power & Potential of Women’s Philanthropy, an event co-hosted by The Community Foundation for Ireland and Philanthropy Ireland on 14th April 2010.


Over 160 people attended the Symposium, which featured presentations by Ellen Remmer (The Philanthropic Initiative, Inc), Deirdre Mortell (Co-Founder of the One Foundation), Chantal McCabe (2009 National Philanthropist of the Year).

Also at the event we launched Ireland's first ever Women's Fund. The fund will be dedicated to supporting women's initiatives and issues right around the country.
