Foundations, LGBT Diversity’s first national conference

04 November 2010

When:     Monday, 29th November, 2010 9.15am – 4.45pm
Where:    Westbury Hotel, Grafton Street, Dublin 2
To Book: Please contact Sarah O’Sullivan, LGBT Diversity Administrator, on 021 4305000

The event will bring together a cross section of people who have an interest in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) issues. The conference provides a platform to share expertise and experiences, both within LGBT communities and with other stakeholders, in order to build a sustainable sector. This year’s themes are capacity building, cohesive work and sustainability. These are the cornerstones of the LGBT Diversity programme.

The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese is the special guest speaker. In addition, the two keynote speakers are Melanie Judge and Breda Lymer, who will be supported by a panel of experts to lead discussions with delegates on the chosen topics. These include Niall O'Sullivan from The Community Foundation who will look at funding issues.

In the afternoon delegates will participate in workshops. All workshops will be facilitated by people who have significant practical experience in the workshop area, using interactive methodologies.
